Lake Hartwell, located 30 miles southwest of Greenville, South Carolina and 90 miles Northeast of Atlanta, Georgia is with out a doubt the most beautiful lake in the Southeastern United States. Interstate 85 bisects Lake Hartwell making it easily accessible. On the main body of the lake at sunset, on is afforded truly spectacular panoramic views of glittering stream of orange-red across several miles of sky blue water. From many parts of the lake you can see the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. White bass, striped bass and pickerel are also found in substantial numbers. Its only fitting that a magnificent lake such as Hartwell be located in the quiet and serene atmosphere of a rural type setting and yet only 1.5 hours from both Atlanta, Georgia and Highlands, North Carolina, 30 minutes from Greenville, South Carolina and 40 minutes from Greenville/Spartanburg International airport.
